The Five Moves
Work top to bottom. Tap a move to open it - and in the record below, tap any title to jump back here.
1 · Pause
Stop the scroll - in your head or on your phone. Say where you are, plainly. That's the doorway.
For example: “Kitchen. Nine at night.”
2 · See Five
Name five things you can see. Small and boring is perfect: the mug, the keys, the light.
For example: “Kettle. His blue mug. The calendar. My keys. The porch light.”
3 · Noticing - or Narrating?
The fork. “Dishes in the sink” is noticing. “Dishes - I'm so behind” is narrating: the story about now, wearing now's clothes. Check the outside. The camera test: the camera sees dishes; it can't see “behind”. The words: “behind, always, should, still” is story language. Your body: plain naming slows the breath; narration speeds it.
For example: “'His blue mug' - noticing. 'The calendar - I'm behind on everything' - that's the story.”
4 · Hear Four, Feel Three
Four things you can hear, three you can feel. The senses don't do yesterday or tomorrow - that's the point of them.
For example: “Dishwasher. TV low. Wind. My own breath. Warm mug. Socks on tile. Shoulders down an inch.”
5 · Land
One plain line: right now, what's actually true in this room? Not the week. Not the fear. This room, this hour.
For example: “Right now, we're both safe, and the kitchen is warm.”

The week didn't get smaller. The hour got returned. That's what the senses are for.
Your Check-In
Type into each box. Tap a title to see what it means. Your “Say it” line builds at the bottom as you write.
The fork: now versus the story about now. The story can wait - it always keeps.
Not sure which is which?
You don't have to think harder. Check the outside signals.
The camera test. A camera sees “dishes in the sink”. It cannot see “I'm so behind”. If the lens can't catch it, it's story.
The words. “Behind, always, should, still, again” - narration sneaking in.
Your body. Plain naming slows your breath. Narration speeds it up.
Noticing: “His blue mug on the rack.” Narrating: “That mug - he used to make the coffee.”
Catching yourself narrating is the rep. The story isn't banned - it's just not now.

Today has enough in it - He said so Himself. Grace is issued daily, not in advance. You're allowed to live one hour at a time; that's how the supply works.
"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
Matthew 6:34Naming what your senses actually find pulls your brain out of its wandering network - the loop that lives in yesterday and tomorrow - and back into the room where your body is.
A general mechanism, not a guarantee. This supports good care; it doesn't replace it.
