The Five Moves
Work top to bottom. Tap a move to open it - and in the record below, tap any title to jump back here.
1 · Name the Weather
What's rolling through today - the anger, the fog, the grief? Name it like a front coming in. Weather words, not verdict words.
For example: “Resentment, thick, since lunch.”
2 · Find the Sky
Someone in you just named that weather. That's the watcher - the sky it all happens in. Proof: name one storm you've already outlasted.
For example: “The year of the diagnosis. I outlasted that.”
3 · Weather - or Sky?
The fork. “I am angry” claims the weather as identity. “I notice anger is here” keeps you the sky. Check the outside. The words: “I am X” versus “X is here”. Your body: weather-claimed tightens; sky-spoken loosens. The camera test: the camera films a person sitting in a feeling - the storm is in the frame, never the whole frame.
For example: “'I am a resentful person' - hand that back. 'I notice resentment is here today' - that's the sky talking.”
4 · Watch From There
One minute. Watch the weather from the sky's seat - no feeding it lines, no fighting it. Then say what it did.
For example: “It thinned out once I stopped arguing with it.”
5 · Say Who You Are
The weather doesn't get the last word. Finish the line: whatever today does, I'm still...
For example: “His wife, and my own self, both.”

The resentment was real and it was weather. The one who watched it is still standing - and still her.
Your Sky View
Type into each box. Tap a title to see what it means. Your “Say it” line builds at the bottom as you write.
The fork: the storm is real. It is also not the whole of you. No digging required - just re-say the line.
Not sure which voice is talking?
You don't have to search your soul. Check the outside signals.
The words. “I am angry / broken / done” hands the weather your name. “Anger is here” keeps your name out of it.
Your body. Say both versions out loud. The “I am” version tightens something. The “I notice” version loosens it.
The camera test. A camera films a person sitting while a feeling passes through. The storm is in the frame. It is never the whole frame.
Weather: “I am a resentful person.” Sky: “Resentment is here today, and I'm watching it.”
Claiming the weather now and then is human. Re-saying the line is the rep - and it counts every time.

The storm didn't make you, and it doesn't get to rename you. You were fearfully and wonderfully made - and the Maker's signature outlasts every front that rolls through.
"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
Psalm 139:14Your brain keeps a map of self - the sense of “me” that holds steady underneath moods. Practising the observer view strengthens the line between the feeling and the one who has it.
A general mechanism, not a guarantee. This supports good care; it doesn't replace it.
