The Four Moves
A truer thought is not something you decide. You weigh your way to it. Work top to bottom.
1 · The thought
Write the hot thought plainly, and rate how much you believe it right now. The strength of the feeling is the signal, not the proof.
2 · Evidence for
Be honest. What genuinely backs this thought? Naming the real grain of truth keeps the verdict from being fake-positive.
3 · Evidence against
The real work. What does the thought skip - the facts, the other side, what you would tell a friend who said it?
4 · The verdict
Build the fairer view from the evidence against, not from wishful thinking. Then re-rate the thought. If it dropped, the weighing worked.
See it worked through first
The thought latched onto the forgetting, not the whole man. Weighing both sides moved it from 80 to 40.
Weigh the Thought
Work top to bottom. The verdict builds itself from your evidence - then tweak it to sound like you.
This is the work. The verdict is built from here.

You are not arguing your own mind on your own strength. The One who made it gives you the authority to weigh every thought and keep only what is true.
"We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ."
2 Corinthians 10:5Weighing both sides hands the thought from the alarm part of your brain to the thinking part up front, the part that can hold two sides at once and choose. See the research.
