The moves
Plain and small. Tap any move to open it.
1 · Emotion mind
Notice what the feeling is shouting. It is real, and it is loud, and it is only one voice at the table.
2 · Reasonable mind
Notice what the plain facts and good sense say, set apart from the feeling.
3 · Step back - which mind is this?
Do not try to feel your way to the answer - look at three things anyone could see. Your body: fast and hot, or slow and steady? Your words: are you hearing 'always', 'never', 'right now', 'I have to'? Those are emotion-mind words. The camera test: if someone filmed you, would they see you rushing, or steady? Fast, hot and 'right now' leans emotion mind; slow, steady and 'I can choose' leans wise mind.
4 · Wise mind
Drop underneath both and ask the quiet question: what do I truly know here? Act from that settled place.

The steadiness you are reaching for is not something you have to manufacture. It is already offered - you get still, and you remember Who is holding it all.
“Be still, and know that I am God.”
Psalm 46:10 · NIVWise mind is the thinking brain and the feeling brain working together, the prefrontal cortex steadying the alarm so both can be heard - read the research.
